Schools need plans in place because student walk-outs over ICE and immigration enforcement are both highly likely and highly charged, and poor preparation can turn a teachable civic moment into a safety and legal concern.

  • When schools are unprepared, walk-outs can disrupt instruction, create confusion about attendance and discipline, and expose students to risks as they leave campus without supervision or traffic control.
  • By contrast, advance planning lets schools protect student safety, communicate clearly with families about school policies, and prevent confusion about attendance issues for student participation in walk-outs during school hours.

Midwinter Conference

TxSP had a great time visiting with some of our subscribing partners who stopped by to say hello, as well as Districts interested in seeing what TxSP is all about. We even had a superintendent who signed their license agreement on the spot. It was bitterly cold, but we got there early to beat the North Texas ice and snow and stayed a day later to give our area time to thaw out. Our team always appreciates it when subscribing districts share their experience with how great TxSP is.

Two recent quotes from two new subscribing superintendents:

  • “TxSP is like TASB on Steroids.”
  • “I really appreciate all the documentation ya’ll offer. It is such a time saver.”
